Kansas Section News Summary August 2019

We are half way thru September, feels as if the year has sped by.
However, some public service events and picnics remain on the calendar
and I hope you will participate with them. Reno County ARA is holding a
hamfest September 21ST at Hutchinson. The club has scheduled us time to
meet at 9:00 prior to the test session. This will serve as our annual
meeting for 2019. I would like your input on the traffic nets as well as
A.R.E.S. and any other things we need to go over while together. The
Weather Net will also convene to discuss the nets. Our Director-K0DAS
will also be in attendance.  I will also be at Valley Center ARCs
Wichita area hamfest October 5. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Reno County ARA is sponsoring a hamfest in Hutchinson September 21st at
the National Guard Armory  1111  N. Severance.  Lodging and restaurants

Valley Center ARC Hamfest October 5 will be held at Riverwalk Church of
Christ in downtown Wichita. Tables are free but must be reserved.

Wichita Amateur Radio Club is holding a DMR net Sundays at 5:45 PM on
145.17 repeater, color code 3, talk group 31204.

A Luncheon is held in Wichita at noon on the second Saturday of the
month at Ourr s Family Dining 1606 S. Georgetown. This is another
opportunity to get together and see who you’ve been talking with on
the air.
