[MCARC] Ham radio antenna @ sherrif's office

Folks.. I stopped by the Sheriffs Office this am and checked the equipment
out as I have done occasionally in the past and granted the antenna should
be replaced, however there were not operational compromises on 2 meters, and
apparently the 440 rig is out of service, and I was unable to access it.
My opinion is that it be left there as a standby for emergencies.
Granted the equipment could be removed temporarily and used for field day or
other purposes. But the permanent removal would probably be an indication
that we (Hams) are no longer going to support an emergency, and that is not
what we want to imply. If there were a decision by the club to remove it, I
feel certain conditions be set down to properly notify the people affected
first.
