[MCARC] 1/2 of my doublet is down

One of the support lines came apart and dropped the north 1/2 of my doublet.  The line was the Manstrant that is suppose to be tough but I think the line was weakened by rubbing on the tree bark as the wind blew the limbs.  I took down the balance of line and found another place where it had rubbed the outer layer into and only the internal fibers were showing.  I don't think that a squirrel was involved.  I will have to put a different line if I leave it running thru the tree.  Anyone else have issues?
