[MCARC] Publicity

Just a note to let the group know, the Kiwanis asked me to give a 
presentation at a meeting recently on Ham Radio... It was at their regular 
luncheons at the Wagon Wheel.
    I had material displayed showing how I got started, ARRL Qst, papers on 
organizations, info about different phases of operation, etc.
    Questions were brought up on our Emergency operations ( like 
Greensburg ), and MARS.  I was DL4RI and trustee of the Club of DL4OL in 
AE1OL Army Mars European Div.  where we handled Red Cross Ham messages thru 
the Mars Freq.'s for the GI's local.

     Like a guy's Father was not well and not expected to live, so Red Cross 
contacted us and we arranged a leave of absence to come home.
    The group seemed interested, and appreciated the time.   I think the PR 
was good.
