Welcome to our new CERT Radio members! For those licensed with radios, join
us tonight on the K6BW repeater in Mill Valley 146.775 (-) PL 110.9. See
details below. Congratulations to our newly-licensed Amateurs! Please join
us Thursday for our Communications Class. We are holding the final class of
our four-part communications training program this Thursday (you are
encouraged to attend), and will be starting the series again the following
Thursday. I will be out of town Thursday, August 23, at a training exercise
in Mountain View and Marjorie Schwier, KI6YKY will conduct the class.
Thursday's Class:
Class 1 - Introduction and propagation
Class 2 - Radio Configuration
Class 3 - Net Control Procedures
* Class 4 - Message Handling and general review.
Tonight (Monday) we will be testing a Cross-Band Repeater as part of the
CERT Radio Advanced Communications program. We will conduct an exercise to
deploy and test our mobile repeater in the hills above Sleepy Hollow in San
Anselmo. Please join us 7:00-7:30 PM on the air, starting on Channel 4
(Mill Valley Repeater, 146.775 (-) PL 110.9), then on Channel 3 (145.640
simplex). We will be tentatively using 438.300 as the cross band channel.
Stations in So. Marin (Corte Madera, south) should set their radios to
438.300 simplex (no PL), and stations in San Rafael and north should set
their radios to 145.640 (Channel 3) no PL.
Look forward to seeing you!
