This Thursday we will be conducting our ongoing CERT Radio Communication Classes. Whether for the first time, or as a refresher, please take the time to join us.

Thursday's Class:

Class 1 - Introduction and propagation
  Class 2 - Radio Configuration
Class 3 - Net Control Procedures
* Class 4 - Message Handling and general review. We will start afresh next week.
This Thursday is an ideal time to attend!

Our on air practice continues, tonight (each Monday) from 7:00pm - 7:30pm. Look forward to hearing you this evening (Monday) on the K6BW repeater - Novato (146.775 - pl 127.3).

Access K6BW from (146.775 - pl 151.4) to join the net using the West Marin repeater. Please wait until a call is made using the West Marin system to avoid interference between the repeaters.

Access K6BW from (146.775 - pl 110.9) to join the net using the Mill Valley repeater. Please wait until a call is made using the Mill Valley system to avoid interference between the repeaters.

The cross-band repeater in Mill Valley is operating to connect to the Novato Repeater. Send and receive on 438.300 (simplex) with a PL of 100 in parts of Corte Madera and Mill Valley to connect to the repeater in Novato.

The cross-band repeater in Greenbrae is operating to connect to the Novato Repeater. Send and receive on 441.925 (simplex) with a PL of 156.7 in parts of Corte Madera, Ross and surrounding areas to connect to the repeater in Novato.

Thank you to all those who participated in today's simplex drill in Northern Marin. We have completed our initial simplex testing of assembly locations throughout the county. This is a Huge Accomplishment!

Are you interested in obtaining a General Class license? The General Class is the next step beyond the Technician license.
If enough people are interested, a class will be formed. Let me know if you are interested.

Are you interested in joining a group to support high-speed digital communications? Jay Hubert will be discussing use of cross-band repeater equipment, and formation of a radio network during our HWA meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday). We need participating volunteers (no lookie-lu's). If you are interested, please contact Jay at j-mhubert at att.net.
