Our Chapter just secured thousands of two-person disaster kits through a generous grant from CalEMA to give away for free by the end of the month and are giving it out first come, first serve to those who take our 19 minute online preparedness training during the month of September. We'll even mail it to your home or work. J You may want to get this out to your colleagues, family, friends, community partners, etc. Attached is an image of the actual backpack. The backpack alone is worth 19 minutes of your / their time, and they get free disaster supplies and a quick preparedness training too! J Go to www.prepare.org. More details below.

Hello everyone,

Happy National Preparedness Month!

I'm very pleased to announce that we have received a generous grant from our partners at the California Emergency Management Agency allowing us to give away thousands of free disaster kits to California residents who take our free online disaster preparedness training during the month of September. Below you'll find all the details in a format that you can share with your friends, family, colleagues and community partners.

By helping people in the Bay Area learn how to take care of their families and neighbors, you are helping us strengthen our community overall and making the Bay Area more resilient to disasters large and small. On behalf of the chapter, many thanks for your ongoing support in this effort.

September is National Preparedness Month

Tip of the week: Refresh your disaster kit and check your smoke alarms every 6 months when you switch your clocks for daylight savings.
