It is starting to look like folks might start tuning in at 7 each night using the HWA Novato and Mill Valley repeaters.  I think this might give more folks a chance to chat and to learn and take turns operating a controlled net, sending and receiving messages etc.  I have not been on the air from Mill Valley lately due to personal stuff, but will try to tune in this week to see (hear) who else is on the air.  I have a few technical problems to work out with my location and lack of a good antenna.  I might be relegated to working out of my car as soon as I can rig my 6db gain antenna on the car.  Who else is in with this concept?  personally, going to another person's house is a great idea to meet and greet, but would be difficult for me.  Also, there are two nights a week (tuesdays and thursdays) that Bill opens the Hamilton Shack, plus he is there a lot on mondays.  But I am really happy this idea has come up.  As I travelled to the four corners of the
 southwestern united states twice in the last two months, I carried with me the ARRL repeater directly, and everywhere I went there were repeaters with various frequencies.  I also saw many folks on the road with HAM antennae, and met a few.  I should would like to get more familiar with this big world of HAM radio we have embarked upon.  I am also quite mystified with almost everything QST discusses in its monthly magazines, contesting, fields days etc.  Anyway a few of my thoughts.
