This Thursday we will skip our ongoing CERT Radio Communication Classes. The Message Transfer class scheduled for this Thursday will be held next week.
On behalf of CERT Radio, thank you for your support and participation. May you enjoy the best of the Holidays and have a happy and prosperous New Year!
Our on air practice continues, tonight (each Monday) from 7:00pm - 7:30pm. Look forward to hearing you this evening (Monday) on the K6BW repeater - Novato (146.775 - pl 127.3). You may notice a radio carrier on the output of the repeater. I am sure you will join in expressing a big thank-you to a number of Amateurs who have spent hours working on identifying and resolving the extraneous signal. We expect it will be resolved in the near future. As the signal has had only a minor impact on our weekly exercise, please plan to participate in our drill this evening
Access K6BW from (146.775 - pl 110.9) to join the net using the Mill Valley repeater. Please wait until a call is made using the Mill Valley system to avoid interference between the repeaters.
Access K6BW from (146.775- pl 151.4) to join the net using the West Marin repeater. Please wait until a call is made using the West Marin system to avoid interference between the repeaters. The West Marin repeater is running on batteries. They are replenished and a better power source is planned.
The cross-band repeater in Mill Valley is operating to connect to the Novato Repeater. Send and receive on 438.300 (simplex) with a PL of 100 in parts of Corte Madera and Mill Valley to connect to the repeater in Novato.
Again, Merry Christmas and best of wishes in the Holidays, and for the New Year!
