VOLUNTEERS ARE URGENTLY NEEDED FOR

THE BAY TO BREAKERS!

Over 50,000 people participate in the Bay to Breakers each year and over 400 of these people receive first aid from the American Red Cross First Aid Station team. Come be a part of this great Bay Area event on Sunday, May 17, 2009! This event is a classic San Francisco race & party and serves an excellent drill for many of the capabilities, which the Red Cross needs when responding to disasters. It’s also very, very entertaining!

We need volunteers to serve as Caregivers (ER, EMT, LVN, RN, and MD), Recorders (First Aid and CPR trained) and Communicators (HAM radio trained). We also need registered Red Cross volunteers to help with the Lost Child Station (First Aid and EPR recommended but not required) and volunteers to help with registration, clean up and provide other support to the First Aid teams. ? Caregivers: (4:30 AM —3 PM) ...Current ER, EMT or higher level. CPR for the Professional required)

? Communicators: (4:30 AM —3 PM) ..HAM radio + HAM license required

? Registration: (4:30 AM —6 AM) ....no First Aid and CPR certification required
