Greetings Get Ready Coordinators:

My name is Kate Dumont and the Great Shakeout steering committee asked me to be the Marin County Coordinator for the Great California shakeout. Save the date -- October 15th at 10:15 am. This is a 2-minute, Drop, Cover, Hold disaster drill that we roll out to prepare the public! It is free. We are hoping to register 10 million California participants and have 3.3 million registered so far. We are having a "friendly" competition with Southern California to register the most participants.



The Shakeout website is fun and informative, full of disaster planning information, flyers and downloadables, and a free, easy-to-use registration.
