Yes, Brad has been and will be missed. Thanks for the reminders of
what was going on in the early days. I remember that get-together at
Big Bone Lick State Park just south of Florence, KY. I think K9AYA had
set up a beacon near Hamilton, Ohio that was a 10 GHz horn aimed up at
the bottom curvature of a water tower. It was running maybe 100 mW. We
all heard it in the park. I've wanted to try out that beacon technique
myself.
I've known Tim for some time, too. He's an HF contester.
