Well, Saturday didn't work out so well. I got up and watched a big area of
rain on the radar. It looked like it was approaching and would be in my
area in an hour or so. So I held off on going out.

I left with just my new FT-817, a small 2m beam, my usual IF radio and 1296
MHz around noon. I got to the hill and found I'd left an important cable at
home and couldn't get on 1296. I did put up the 2m beam and listen for the
WD9BGA beacon on 144.298 MHz. The radio seems to receive quite well.

Next weekend is the Fall Microwave Sprint. I plan on being in that, with
902 through 24 GHz available. Hopefully there are a few active stations to
work. I'll be in EN50rl again.
