I've been rebuilding my 1296 transverter. I already went from the KK7B
no-tune 902 transverter to the W1GHZ design. It has performed quite well.
So I'm building a new 1296 transverter centered on the W1GHZ boards.

Only I just saw that W1GHZ has come out with some improvements to his
design. Instead of a resistive combiner circuit, he is now using a
Minicircuits power spliltter. Also new MMIC's in a different case style,
especially the receive input amp, because INA10386's are difficult to come
by.

I converted the transverter board I have to PIN diode switching, so I may
still be ahead of the power splitter's performance. I'll see how it does
soon.
