A stalled high pressure dome can be really good for tropo. Overnight
radiant cooling temperature inversions tend to not be mixed away by
winds because of the calm under the high. I have worked over 1000 miles
with low power on 1296 under such a dome.
I noticed QRM on the local NWS radio station this morning on 162.525
this morning. Its about 25 miles away and not really strong but isn't
QRMd every morning.
