[MAMS] New membership requests

Hi All,

Has anyone recommended or invited people to join MAMS lately? I've been
deluged with membership requests lately. I SUSPECT they are spammers. None
have any indication of being a ham in the e-mail addresses.

I tried to request more info from a few and the e-mails to the addresses
given by them all bounced.

>From now on, I won't approve a membership request that doesn't either
indicate in some way that they're a radio amateur or an e-mail from a
member telling me they recommended that  person to join MAMS.
