Dave,
Please don't over do and make that 185 foot climb ! There are plenty
of young men, of high school age and older, that could use the work
(and money) to could make that climb. You can guide them from the
ground with a good pair of binoculars or a spotting scope and a
couple of HTs or even hands free cell phones.
At our age it's too easy to have something unexpected happen and, at
that height, even the best paramedics couldn't get you down in
time. You're a bit too far away for to be in my microwave range, but
you have a lot in experience yet to give to the UHF/microwave
community. We've lost too many pioneers recently.
