[MAMS] Good condx this AM (July MAD)

Hi Dave,

10 GHz conditions weren't so good on 10 GHz at least toward St. Louis last
Saturday. W9ZIH was so loud on 10 GHz that we worked on SSB but I couldn't
work St. Louis. I didn't take the 24 GHz with me after Jim W9SNR said he
couldn't make it out for MAD.

The K9MOT beacons are the former K3SIW beacons at the Motorola plant in
Schaumburg, EN52xb. The callsign was changed I think mainly because Garry
doesn't work at Motorola anymore. They have all been fixed up a little or a
lot by Pete K9PW. There is no full station at that site; they are just
beacons, no capability for a full QSO.

Not sure what my tone of voice was at Dayton but I usually go to the
Wisconsin side of Lake Michigan for the 10 GHz contest on the September
weekend and work people on the Michigan side. It's a bit much time-wise and
expense-wise for me to travel very far for both weekends. I thought there
was a big group planning on going to Lake Erie for the August weekend.
That's just a little too far for me to drive. Maybe I was thinking of that.
I might just operate from EN50rl in August. Not sure. It's still up in the
air.

73, Zack
