Strange, I should've heard you. I wonder why I didn't? I tuned around
on 144 MHz quite a bit.
The WD9BGA beacon is running 5 watts to a turnstile antenna at 1900
feet ASL. I think I have that right. I get the antennas for the WR9L
beacon near Kankakee and the the WD9BGA beacon confused. I think it is
the WR9L beacon that uses two stacked HO loops. I know both run 5
watts.
The WD9BGA beacon is almost always hearable here. It was very loud
here on Wednesday, at least 20 over 9.
