Hi Zack,
I was wondering if you have heard of the ATMEGA328 controller?
I was looking at these yesterday at our Gateway Electronics store
and I was told by the guy on the other side of the counter that you
can program these in "C" language.  Also, the site has a shared
user programming section.  These are sold at this store and they
have two type's (1) a experimenters board with lots of inputs &
outputs (2) the Lily pad unit which is what I call the postage stamp
board.  This may be easier to program for the 24 & 47 Ghz L.O.
Freq. control.  Made by an Italian company.  They sure do have
many products for light, display, etc.

Maybe you have already looked at this product, it caught my attention!
