Hi Lloyd,
Looks like you are headed toward the microwave bands..... I was wondering if you have
heard of MAMS (Mid- American Microwave Society)?  It is a group dedicated to just
microwave.  You now have 902, 1296 and 2304.  Are you planning to get 3456, 5760
and 10.3 GHz in the future?

I would like to invite you to join this ground so that you can participate in MAD ( Micro-
wave Activity Day) which is the first Saturday of each month.  I have included this e-mail
to the MAMS group so that you will have the site location.  There is a sign-up page that
you will have to be approved before you are added to the list just so that we can keep
spammers out.
73,
Dave - KB0PE/ EM48ts
St. Louis, MO.

Single op, low power, six bands.

Rig is FLEX-50000 w/DEMI transverters

Antennas are all single M2 yagis

I had hoped to be on 2304 MHz, got the antenna and rotor loop up but
didn't get the feed line installed in time. Hopefully will have that
taken care of for the Fall u-wave sprint.

Saturday morning I got up early and went to the Chicago Radio
Expo/Belvedere Hamfest looking for a 6M amp. Nothing found. When I
returned home I was so tired that I fell asleep and missed most of the
contest on Saturday. Sunday morning watched the 9-11 stuff on TV, so my
operating was late Sunday morning through the end of the contest.
Because of that, my results were down from last year where I had 5 bands
working and 105 Q's for a score of 9,333.

Band conditions while I was operating on Sunday were flat, no tropo
enhancement, no e-skip.

Never heard the bulk of the Rovermania stations operating in the plains
states. ( I did look for you )

Many thanks to the rovers I did connect with: KC0P/R, K9JK/R, W9SNR/R &
W9SZ Hill-top Portable.

6 band sweeps with K2DRH, W9GA

5 band sweep with W9SZ, K2YAZ, N9UHF, W9SNR/R

4 band sweep with W0UC, W9ZIH, KF8QL, WZ8T

Best DX:
   50 MHz  W8PGW 286.8 mi  EN82
 144 MHz  K8TQK  410.0 mi  EM89
 222 MHz  K2YAZ   218.8 mi  EN74
 432 MHz  WZ8T      197.1 mi  EN72
 902 MHz  K2YAZ   218.8 mi  EN74
1296 MHz K2YAZ   218.8 mi  EN74

73 to all and will look for you in the Fall Sprints
