[MAMS] Fwd: [MIcro-nuts] October MAD, NE8I cancel

I got to the EN50rl hill a little later than planned. I think I got
set up around 9 am CDT. Worked Ron W9ZIH on 3456 and 10368, good
signals both ways. Then Jim W9SNR found me on 144.260 and we tried for
about 15 minutes on 10368 with nothing heard either way. Very odd. He
was in EN62cc and we can usually work on that path with no problem.

We switched to 2304 and Jim heard me fine - about S5. He didn't want
to transmit because he was set up on 24 GHz. He then went to work
K3SIW on 24 GHz who was on Tower Hill EN52sa with his portable setup.
I packed up and drove home then, because it was cold and windy and my
fingers didn't work so well.
:-(

Next operation for me will be the Microwave Fall Sprint on Oct. 22.
Right now I plan on driving up north to the Chicago area to hop around
some hills for that one.

73, Zack W9SZ
