Comments: This was pretty much a 6M contest. I noticed that it was open
around 2030Z on Saturday, and it never closed down completely, as far as I
could tell. While I didn't do as well as I would have from home, the KB6KQ
loop at about 11" above the pavement did better than I expected. Of course,
operating from locations where the car itself was significantly above
average terrain didn't hurt.
Activity on 2M and up was very thin, as expected. Mostly just worked the
Mult-Ops, who were on 2M most of the time. Thanks to W9ZIH, K2YAZ, W9SZ,
and K2DRH for the microwave contacts. That's what I'm really looking for.
Still, 6M kept me pretty busy, so I wasn't getting bored.
Next outing for me will be July 2nd MAD, then the UHF contest.
