   Hi Jim,

Nice to open up the mailbox and see your rover plans.
Many of us are glad to hear from many ops, in a wide area
surrounding WI/ILL/MI/MN.

Also want to thank you for submitting your plans to the Google
spreadsheet that 100's of V/UHF'ers pay attention to, far beyond
the reach of regional V/UHF lists. That spreadsheet link is at:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?authkey=CNPR64wB&hl=en_US&key=tdbIpXxVQCs82OvLTcoZX5g&hl=en_US&authkey=CNPR64wB#gid=1

Some may say, "who cares what the rest of the country thinks?"
I can assure you (from my private emails, plus feedback I get
nationwide from kc9bqa.com) that *many* are watching the
Midwest. NLRS helped revive the UHF contest several years
ago. A devoted segment of V/UHF'ers is exactly what we need
to keep activity levels high. It's true that ham radio is a hobby.
But when you think about how hard most V/UHF'ers try to
improve their stations, it's only natural to want to toot our horns.

Posted activity for next weekend is very light so far. The UHF
contest is *supposed* to be an Upper Midwest speciality. Please
post your fixed station or rover plans.

    73,
    Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
