Hello to the Group,
While waiting for Zack to set up in EM59wx we tried 902 at around 8am and
I could hear with headphones only bits of CW out of the noise floor come and
go.   We then tried 1296 at round 8:30am with just a few bits of CW
characters being occasionally heard at each end, mostly in the noise. Not
good enough for a QSO.  Then we tried 3456 with nothing heard at either end.

Zack, I think maybe if we had been ready at 6am, we probably would have put
each other in the log on at least 902 & 1296!  I think we were loosing the
conditions as we were trying 902 at 8am.  What do you think?

Also, I was on the phone with Walter - W9OBG at @ 10am and while we were
talking at 10:14am a whole bunch of 9 calls on 144.200 started coming thru
my rig!   This also tells me that if I had one other station on that was ready
to
pounce, we probably could have worked up into Chicago, from the sound of it
on a uW band!

I have spent several three days during the 10 Ghz. contest (Fri., Sat. and Sun)
and I can always remember about 6 good openings each day that if like K2YAZ
could have been ready, I would have worked him.  His callsign came thru on all
6 openings each day of the contest as I recall!

Hepburn Tropo Ducting showed good conditions for Friday but were gone by
Friday night @ 2pm.  This has been the most disappointing MAD that I have
had - hi hi.  Zack, I think our equipment is working fine - just need some band
enhancement.  My Adrenalin did get stirred up by the very weak W9SZ coming
thru on 902 though.  Thanks Zack for all your efforts on this MAD and I should
have 2304 completed by our next MAD weekend.  I hope to be ready with my
(Red Flag) ROVER with only 144.260 Liaison and 902, 1.2, 2.3, 3.4, 5.7 and
24 Gig's.  I will remove the 222 and 432 yagi's to make room for the 2.3 and
3.4 Gig loopers.  5.7 and 24 Gig's are on Dish only and will have to set up as
portable to work these two bands!

73,
Dave - KB0PE/ EM48ts
