I'd be inclined to compare it to the FW published schematics and work 
from there.

I helped the micro LO in my 10G transverter by stuffing all the foam 
(Dow blue board) bits I could get around the crystal, then I cut the IF 
drive as much as I could (without taking the TC board out and changing 
its fixed attenuation) to cut the heat to the transverter box and so to 
the crystal. Working rovers from Buck Hill at MSP the second weekend of 
10G+ 2009 I had to chase them all around, some moved a couple KHz each 
transmission but the locals on the hill though I wasn't moving an 
unreasonable amount.

-20 comes from telephone central offices where -48 is the supply standard.
