[MAMS] PLL

There is a guy in Hawaii that sells the Harris stuff. I bought a 1.5 watt amp
from him, and wanted to buy another. He said he would sell me that one and the
750 mw job for 2304 as well, plus a whole lot of other stuff for 40 bucks which
included the postage. This brick was in with the goodies he sent, along with
that lna. I don't really have any use for it, but  its too good to toss. I got a
ton of ut141 cables, some couplers, circulators, and splitters in the goodies
portion. He emailed me last night wanting to send me another batch of sma cables
for free. I told him I would see if I could find out of the brick it useful or
not. No info on it whatsoever and Harris won't talk to anyone. I  would be glad
to send it on to you to putter with if you are interested. None of us know how
to make it work. I do have the 5760 rig that works quite well and we do need to
work on 3456. I have built a 15 watt 2304 using Pauls pipe cap board and it
works very well. I stuck that harris pre amp on in front of it and it seems to
be a jewel. I have opened some of the harris stuff up and its beautifully made,
nothing cheap about it. I got the 1.5 watt 2304 amp from him for 12 bucks,m
without the four inch square and foot long heat sink harris had it kmounted on
29.95 with the heat sink. I send return postage along with the brick by the way

Hi Wally,

What do you plan on using it for? You have a 5760 transverter, don't
you? I think I worked you on that band. (BTW we need to try for 3456
again some time! Maybe this weekend?)

For a 144 MHz IF, you'd want a 5616.0 MHz LO for low-side injection.
For high side injection you'd probably want to use 5905.0 MHz and tune
down from 145 MHz. My personal preference is low-side injection
because I don't like tuning backwards. Looks like that MIGHT be a
little low for its range with low-side injection. If the price is
right I'd probably get one to experiment with but I don't think I
personally would spend over $25 on one.

Come to think of it, I may have a Frequency West brick for that range
that I never used. I think I got it for $10 on eBay a few years ago. I
was thinking of making it into a beacon at the time.
