Good to hear from you! Yeah, the R75's are not very robust in 24/7 
operation. A typical culprit is the -5V supply, a very small switcher 
done with a 555 timer. The electrolytics around it tend to dry out. At 
least one of them has too much current going through it. Very tight 
space, too. I finally gave up and put my own +12V to -5V board on the 
inside of the back panel. The current problem with my R75 is going to 
require some detective work, though, and I will do it this winter. My 
other R75 is working fine, so I'm all set. And, I've found that my nice 
Elecraft K4D works great at LF, so that's a good backup.

No, I can't make a TAG out of that reception, either. It's early in the 
season...

Was thinking the other day about how much fun it was to do that NC to MA 
WOLF QSO.
