I have what is probably the first model Heros' converter. I bought it 
maybe 2 decades ago but have not used it in years as I have now good 
receivers not requiring converter for the band.  It is well built but I 
used it so long ago, I do no remember much more.  So the newer models 
are new but the older have been around for quite a while.

I use Bodnar GPS for several of my units.   Take not that if using an 
SDR with a GPSDO, much of the time with common SDRs, you get stability 
but your accuracy is still limited by the SDR tuning steps-it can be 
disappointing.
