Thanks for the audio  link Lawrence. The 4 "beeps" you heard aren't 
inconsistent with the nearby WL7NO correlation display. It shows 4 
pulses every 3.6 seconds, but the first, third, and fourth are quite 
weak compared to the second so it looks like a Morse code L. I'm just 
surprised that the VE6ARS diagram at nearly the same time shows 3 
equally bright pulses instead. Maybe in the coming days I can tune in 
the other two Alpha frequencies to see how their correlation displays 
compare among a number of remote receivers.
