Zack, most QSOs are made in the WSJT FS-4 mode, one of the two-way WSPR modes. More than likely you are hearing ordinary WSPR mode or often FST-4W, a slightly more sensitive mode of WSPR.
The software to tx and rx these modes is WSJT-X by Joe Taylor and his team and is freely available. Just google WSJT-X and it should pop up.

What software are all of you using to decode the various stations?

I've been monitoring a number of stations on 475.6 kHz. One identified in
CW as W8JI. The others are probably using some form of digital
transmissions but I can't decode them.
