[Lowfer] JJY

I left the loop tuned to 153 kHz last night and I could start seeing a
strong carrier just after local sunset. The signal seems to peak at
around 04:00 UTC to 05:00 UTC.
The weird thing is this.....this is radio Algeria testing on 153 kHz. I
am convinced of this because on at least 3-4 times during the night when
they actually transmitted audio with their carrier it was always 100%
traditional arabic music and voice.
Using the loop (in a band-aided condition) I was able to get just over
30 dB S/N on that station and the music (when transmitted) was easy ear
copy mixed with moderate lightning QRN.

Light travels faster than sound....
This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
