Thanks for the report and snip, Garry.  I was out in the back fourty
the other day doing antenna work and noticed that the helix house
for EAR was surrounded by a moat from the recent heavy rains.
Every step I took made a squish-squish sound.

I don’t know what, if any, effect that has on how well EAR gets out,
as the ground system is a bit complex.  I have a metal plate that’s
directly under the helix house which is bonded to the ground so as
to have a constant presence of a ground plane.
