Thanks for the link, Mike.  I’ll check that out later this evening.
I now know what the L of the loop is, thanks to finding a spool
of wire that had enough for the job.  I wound on 21 turns and
took a measurement with two pieces of test gear.  They both
told me that the loop has an L of 1.22 mH. and a resistance
of less than one ohm.
