Thanks John!

I was wondering how well or poorly an on ground dipole would perform at these frequencies.Not an overwhelming signal for 45 Watts at 40 miles, you may be the only active Lowfer that can receive it.There is supposed to be some directivity, unlike dipoles up in the air, an on-ground dipole radiates off the ends, my dipole is mostly oriented north-south. I doubt that it is doing a whole lot better in those directions though.

This screenshot of XIL was taken this morning around 1200Z at a distance 
of 40 miles. It is from an Argo QRSS3 screen; QRSS10 would likely be 
more appropriate, but the faster screen clearly shows the presence of 
the CW ID. The CW is copyable by ear here in MA.
