[Lowfer] Argo screen size/spectrum - visible key strokes

Lawrence, I suspect you might be trying to use the number keypad for those
functions.  If so, probably your Num Lock key is on thereby making numbers
pressing those keys.  There is usually a light on the num lock key to tell
you it is on.  Simply press the num lock key to toggle it on and off.
