GarryThank you for the report! Very exciting to see the signal making it that far this early in the season. I do have the variometer in line so I'm not sure what else could be improved. I'm going to improve on my radials some more. I currently have 6 40 foot radials and 2 10 foot radials (8 total) on the setup. I need to extend those two 10 foot ones so they're all the same length. Andy suggested connecting the ends of them together, so I will have to try that. One last thing I want to do is try different coil configurations until I can find one that gives the best resonance and antenna current. Thanks again!73,Kasey EverhartKA4SEY(336) 239-4214

Andy's good report of KE reception spurred me to take a look last night. It paid off as around 0600Z a signal began appearing on ARGO at QRSS60, slow. It peaked near 0630Z when the callsign came through once. Went off then to look for TAG. Saw plenty of indications of signal on 185.302 kHz but don't think it was TAG. Instead, there is a spurious that falls exactly on that frequency. Tuned back for KE before local sunrise hoping to see a peak like Andy reported but that didn't happen. Overall not bad given the 996 km path, but if a variometer isn't being used to perfectly resonate the antenna there's still room for improvement.73, Garry, K3SIW, EN52ta, Elgin, IL
