[Lowfer] VLF activity on 26 kHz - 1

Kurt,

That's "VLF", not "UHF". My error. TACAMO transmissions at VLF from E6 
aircraft have been quite active of late. Usual frequencies are 17.8, 
22.7, and 27.2 kHz. The transmissions often (not always) begin with some 
50 baud RTTY. This can be decoded with MultiPSK at 85 Hz shift, reverse. 
The transmissions then shift to one or more cases of wide deviation MSK 
(spectra spanning hundreds of Hz). I don't recall ever recording audio 
from the transmissions because they're encrypted, I just identify the 
signals as TACAMO from the wide spectra. David Wilson is most expert on 
TACAMO matters and if you search Lowfer history you'll find postings on 
the subject.
