Hi Garry…..thanks for the description of your setup.  You are definitely well
ahead of my station.  Most of my gear is getting long in the tooth, just like I
am…LOL.  My over 30 years old TS-440S, with the BCB attenuator taken
out serves as my main receiver.  I bought an Airspy HF+ Discovery about
a year ago and it serves as my any-mode, any-frequency second receiver.
I’m using it with the Gqrx software in my iMac under El Capitan OS.

For Navtex and the latest WSJT-X software, I have a pair of 3.3 gig PCs
that had their hard drives wiped and loaded with Win7, which saves me
from the pain in the ass Windoze updates that cause so many problems,
particularly with the sound card settings!  I live in a small village, which
is much quieter RF pollution-wise than the nearby town, Goderich, and
with 4 acres, I’ve plenty of room for antennas!
