Hi all;
Quite shocked at the fact that I could even pull this off. I was able to hear and record a Morse ID of
Time station JJY in Japan on 40 KHz. It took a couple of hours to get all the settings as optimum as
I could. I used my trusty dusty Kenwood TS450S receiving directly on 40 KHz. 80 meter dipole that I
have ferrited the hound out of. Quite a few milliHenries of loading coil and a Shunt Air Variable for
fine tuning. Audio was fed into Speclab which made the difference in copy. Then post record editing
to put the finishing touch on the audio. ID was recorded at 2:15 am EST - 07:15 UTC.
An old southern saying " I'm plumb tickled about it ! " ... ID is 6 seconds into the audio.
