Yeah ... probably doesn't make sense for a remote site ... would be much better suited to 'home' stations. I'm sure you could generate the signal other ways without a computer but time keeping could be complicated.
Regardless, if you choose to run QRSS or some other mode I'll look for it ;-) .

Interesting idea, but way beyond my capability for a site that is
unreachable for months and the AC power can be shaky. I can't imagine
trying to keep a computer properly booted up and running here.
Guess maybe this isn't worth the work.
