Kasey,
What about something like this? I simplified the oscillator configuration.
You could use the capacitors Jay offered to send you. I removed the low
pass filter so you won't have to deal with impedance matching on your
loading coil.
I'm sure this is where your failed components are coming from. I'm sure you
wont have issues with interference from your transmitter on other devices,
but if you do, you could add a low pass filter later that is the impedance
of your antenna instead of 50 ohms. I wouldn't worry about that now though.
I added an LM317 adjustable regulator to the input to the final so you can
adjust your voltage without needing an adjustable power supply. I added the
5v regulator that was missing from the schematic. I added an optional volt
meter. You can just use your handheld meter here instead. But, it shows
where to measure your voltage since you need that along with the current to
determine your power to the final.
It's missing the Keyer IC, but you can just use your other schematic for
that and connect it the same way.
This transmitter and antenna configuration is much easier to set up and
tune than the one you have and I used to have.
Regards,
John Hamer
