You're welcome! Good to see young people becoming interested in the hobby.

The "secret ingredient", given the limitations that are imposed on us by
the FCC on the Part 15 1750 meter band, as well as the laws of physics, is
to minimize losses. Since the "ground" is half of your antenna, more, and
longer, radials are your friend. The more, the merrier. Also, a capacity
hat is a great return on investment, although whether or not the radius of
the capacity hat has to be counted in the overall length of the antenna is
a matter of debate, I would advise to err on the side of caution. :-)
