Not a peep of KE in Kansas, either...on either frequency.

By midnight I gave up and decided to watch for TAG. Alas, no WOLF...just 
the local coyote pups yipping until the moon set. A few times, the 
decodes started converging on the same (but mostly erroneous) character 
string for three or four passes, but then began diverging again.

After an hour and a half of gradually increasing static, I finally gave 
up and tuned to JH for the rest of the night. But even after the static 
began to wane again, there was no sign of JH either...just the usual 
weak PLCs and other QRM.
