Garry & All: Nice work on the VK4YB 2200m captures. I had a few captures of Roger's VK4YB signal on 2200m last fall on one quiet morning.
I have 2 more uninterruptble power supply units to filter, which may help lower my local noise floor a bit more on 2200m with reduced AC line radiation.
I did come across an interesting noise observation when the temperatures are more than a few degrees below freezing,
as the local noise floor drops several dB here. Near freezing temps, it seems like I have a local broadband noise generator that switches off somewhat randomly

There is a chance this may be power line hardware arcing intermittently on nearby utility poles as a function of outdoor temperature and pole moisture content changing phase state (ice) and not conducting.
But I have to eliminate all my premises noise to the greatest extent possible before I approach the power company.
Other stuff in life on my plate limiting the amount of time I can spend on the project at the moment. But it was kind of neat to visually catch the broadband noise
mask effect in the WSPR2 waterfall...that local broadband noise may have been here for years....which may explain my once (mistaken) newbie perception of better LF rx propagation condx in cold weather...

Hi Mike and thanks for the lowfer report. I've been monitoring EAR here
often too and as usual it comes through fine in daylight from 576 km. At
the watering hole lowfer WM has been in there fine too.
A bit lowfer in frequency (136 kHz) it's impressive how well VK4YB has
been coming through just before sunset via wspr-15 and even wspr-2.
