Garry,

The loop uses different trees than the original, and was oriented a bit 
more to the south (to favor my home QTH in MA). Your grid square would 
have a signal about 3-4 dB below max. That might be enough to make a 
difference. Next year's target will be to improve efficiency a bit by 
restringing it with the old coax.
