[Lowfer] N8OOU 2200m Testing

Mike:  You may want to consider WSPR15 if your PA can handle the duty cycle at the power level of your interest.  When K3SIW was in WSPR15 mode on 185.185 last fall-winter-spring I was able to decode Garry's wspr15 signal on the daylight path at lowfer pwr levels.

When SIW had RF problems with TX he ended up using a steel or plate box as a shield as I vaguely recall about a year or so back

Subject: [Lowfer] N8OOU 2200m Testing

ALL;

Thanks to all, for your time and effort in attempting to capture my WSPR
signal. The best I can conclude from this test is that I don't have
enough signal being radiated yet for anyone to hear at this time of
year. I know for sure I have a signal on my property, and it can be
decoded. How far that signal travels is the unknown Hi Hi.

Over the weekend, I have come up with an idea of how to move the PA to
the base of the antenna. I hopefully will get that done today (Mon) with
only a short outage. In my past tests on 2200m, when I get the exciter
too close to the antenna, the RF confuses the uP. I hope that change
increases the EIRP by removing any feedline loss. Later this week I will
give up on 2200m, test 600m again, then get the lowfer back on the air.

Again thanks to everyone who devoted the receiver time.
