[Lowfer] What ant modeling software is most widely used

Neil, Andy: I agree. Free EZ-NEC will handle anything you are likely to
consider for LF/MF antennas. The tutorial that comes with EZ-NEC is OK, but
I found the

best tutorial--at least for me---is by W8WWV. The link is here...

http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Antenna%20Modeling%20for%20Beginners%20Supplemental%20Files/EZNEC%20Modeling%20Tutorial%20by%20W8WWV.pdf

I like the way it is broken down into sections and how it is organized makes
for easier reading and comprehension. I found the clarity in W8WWV's
writing to be really excellent...

If you want better numbers for your local ground conductivity and
dielectrics to place in the EZ-NEC model versus the standard assumption,
take a look at this site...

https://www.dh1tw.de/how-to-measure-ground-conductivity/

Skin depth at LF is an issue of course, but even getting some measurements
on 160 and 80 meters with short ground probes could offer some insight as to
your local ground conductivity...
