[Lowfer] Dummy Load Antenna - Followup Question About using a Single 1/4 Wavelength Radial

Hello Andy,

Friday, October 13, 2017

The biggest improvement BY FAR here was adding a perimeter and centre
X of sub lawn surface ground wires and five, 5 foot galvanised
handrail ground tubes as ground rods at corners and at the centre of
the X, directly under my 600 odd foot circumference horizontal quad
loop. This acts as the top hat for the strapped ladder line feeder
vertical. The strapped feeder acts as the vertical when using it on
LF, and when un-strapped the loop is a conventional HF aerial. I would
imagine the ground radials would have far less effect on RX than on
TX.
