Sure - why not base load a dipole or G5RV as a Marconi T fed against
ground?  Since we are regulated by radiated power rules, use more power as
necessary to make up for the inefficiencies... Many are doing that very
successfully now and making two-way contacts.  One new station reported
that he was using an 80m dipole as a marconi-T fed against his chain link
fence successfully.
